Developers from the St. Petersburg indie studio Baba Yaga Games presented the trailer for Vasilisa and Baba Yaga, a horror adventure based on the fairy tale Vasilisa the Beautiful. The authors of the project, Lyuba Nurmukhambetova and Asya Yurina, call it “a scary tale about a journey into the forbidden forest for magical power.”
The main character of the game, Vasilisa, goes to Baba Yaga at night for fire. The girl was sent by her stepmother, and a magic doll will help her – a gift to Vasilisa from her late mother. As the prepared inhabitant has already understood, the doll protects the heroine from dangers. You will need to manage the game both by Vasilisa herself and by the magic doll presented to her.
For the first time about the game “Vasilisa and Baba Yaga” became known in August last year, then the announcement was accompanied by a short teaser. In the course of the development of the whole action, gamers here will need to overcome three obstacles. There is a turbulent river protected by a water man, as well as a swamp with a swamp and a forest with a goblin. And after that, the girl will have to face Baba Yaga herself, complete all her tasks and get that same fire. Having achieved all the goals, Vasilisa returns home and is already dealing with the evil stepmother.
The trailer itself, lasting one and a half minutes, is intended to demonstrate to the inhabitants the unique visual style of the Vasilisa and Baba Yaga game, as well as the diversity in the design of local locations.

The release of the project is scheduled for the end of this year exclusively on PC. It is known for sure that it will appear on Steam, but the release on the Epic Games Store is only being considered by the developers. All those interested should wait for the public demo, which will be released in the spring.
