The news is getting worse for Rick and Morty fans. Last week, co-creator Justin Roiland was charged with two crimes. Now the writer and voice actor has gone viral on Twitter. This after the release of images that showed him engaging in a sexual conversation with a minor. After the controversy caused by the creator of Rick and Morty, fans are wondering if the animated comedy can be canceled.
Rick and Morty may have been canceled after the scandal
Adult Swim animated comedy co-creator and voice actor for the two main characters Rick and Morty, Justin Roiland, was arrested and charged with two felonies in Orange County last week. So we have a charge of domestic violence with bodily harm. However also a charge of false imprisonment for menace, violence, fraud and/or deceit. This in a case involving an unnamed woman allegedly dated in 2020. Roiland was released on $50,000 bond. He then participated in a pre-trial on January 12, with a hearing scheduled for April 27.
However, there is still no trial scheduled for Roiland. However, many of the fans were shocked at how the incident went unnoticed in the public eye for nearly three years. Meanwhile, Roiland continued to build a successful career. So he created series like Rick and Morty, among many others. This as the secrets were piling up.

But there are more cases
Recently another case, older, came to the public eye through images published on social networks. That said, they show the creator using extremely dirty and sexual language in a conversation with a teenage girl.
In the text messages the Rick and Morty creator allegedly sent the 16-year-old fan a series of racist slurs and offensive language. This after the girl complained that it was late and that she had school the next day.
However, they released more images that show Roiland insulting the fan with inappropriate language and suggesting sexual careers for the teenager. All when she turns 18. The images caused an uproar on the internet and fans want the cancellation of Rick and Morty.
Rick and Morty reached the end of the sixth season in December 2022. That is, we had 61 of 70 episodes contracted. Now it remains to be seen what will happen next.
