During the Game Awards 2022 Crash Team Rumble has been officially announced, the new spin-off of the series starring the orange marsupial who this time engages in 4 against 4 multiplayer battles together with his friends and enemies.
Toys For Bob has confirmed that Crash Team Rumble is coming sometime in 2023 on PlayStation 5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One, although for the moment neither the developers, nor Activision Blizzard have provided more precise details on the launch window. However, a UK retailer is suspicious, who has cataloged the PS5 version of the new Crash game, even signaling a release date.
According to the online store Hit, Crash Team Rumble will be available from April 4, 2023, with the sale price set at £63.99. A date that, however, appears rather unlikely for now, given that the game was only announced last December, not to mention a price that is inconsistent with what most PS5 games are usually sold, usually offered at £69.99 at launch.
At the same time, however, it cannot be completely excluded that Crash Team Rumble can do it as early as next April, given that Crash Bandicoot 4 It’s About Time it was released in October 2020 four months after the reveal trailer: on that occasion, however, Activision immediately revealed the release date of Crash 4, which was not done on this new occasion.
All that remains is to wait for any confirmations or denials from Activision, which in the meantime has revealed that Crash Team Rumble will be cross-platform.
