The leader of the UPL “Dnepr-1” won a convincing victory in the second sparring at the Turkish training camp over the club “Pakhtakor” from Uzbekistan (3:0).
The Dnipro coaching staff decided to mix two line-ups that had played half-time with Dynamo Tbilisi (3:3) the day before. Gomez, Pasich, Rubchinsky, Gutsulyak and Dovbik came out again from the first minutes, but the other six were the performers who came out the day before in the second half.
The first half passed with a tangible advantage of the Dnieper. Already in the debut of the game, the Pakhtakor goalkeeper had to enter the game twice within one minute, saving the team after Gutsulyak’s blows, assisted by Klimenchuk, and Tanchik’s shot, which Dovbik brought to the blow. As a result, the playing advantage of the sports clubs passed already in the middle of the half, when, thanks to pressure, Dovbik made the Tashkent goalkeeper make a mistake at his own goal. Artem could have scored on his own, but decided to pass the ball to Klimenchuk, who shot the empty net from a few meters away – 1:0.
Literally a few minutes later, Dovbyk almost scored a second assist, again passing the ball to his partner, now to Tanchik, at the opponent’s goal, but this time the ball did not reach the addressee. Then the best player of UPL 2022 took over the game – Artem received a pass from Gutsulyak, won the fight against two opponents at once, went into the penalty area and shot under the goalkeeper – 2:0!
In the 39th minute, Dovbik could have scored a brace, but the defender knocked the ball out of an empty net after the striker’s strike, and finishing off Gutsulyak was inaccurate. Only after that the Uzbek team created its first dangerous moment in the game – Kostik parried the opponent’s blow in front of him, after which the finishing move was inaccurate. Before the final whistle, Pakhtakor had one more moment when the Dnipro goalkeeper gave the ball to the opponent in his own penalty area, but again the player from Tashkent was summed up by an inaccuracy.
During the break, the coaching staff of the Dnipro team almost completely updated the squad, leaving only Adamyuk and Dovbik on the field, but this did not affect the quality of the game – the Dnipro team continued to fully control what was happening on the field. In the second half, the Tashkenters tried to carry out attacks with larger forces, and the Dnieper used this, corresponding to sharp counterattacks. In the 56th minute, Podlepenets led Nazarenko to a shot, but Oleksandr shot into the net from the outside. However, it was Podlepenets who scored an assist, when in the 61st minute he rolled the ball under the blow of Tankovsky and he brought the score to a big one – 3:0! During this time, Pakhtakor had promising moments only after direct free throws, but they were carried out into the wall.
On the other hand, Dovbik could twice bring the score to devastating, but in the first case he missed the goal after going one on one with the goalkeeper, and in the second he hit the goalkeeper from close range when he was assisted by Kogut. Between these episodes there was a header by Svatok after a cross from a free kick by Amash, but this time the goalkeeper of Pakhtakor played reliably.
