More than a month lasted a break in the championship of Ukraine in volleyball among men’s Superleague teams. And now, tomorrow, January 18, the 7th round begins in Chernivtsi.
At the moment, the reigning champion of the country is leading the tournament. “Epicenter-Podolyane” from Gorodok, Khmelnitsky region, which scored 39 points and is 3 points ahead of Dnipro “Prometheus”. These teams are far ahead of the rest of the participants and one of them, most likely, will become the winner of the first stage of the championship.
The second group of teams is a trio. It includes VK “MHP-Vinnitsa” (Trostianets) – 23 points, “Zhitichi-Polesie” (Zhytomyr) – 22 points and Kharkiv “Yurakademia” – 21 points. Each of them will strive to rise to the final third step and get an opponent from the bottom of the standings in the second stage of the playoffs.
And finally, the group of outsiders, which includes VK “Reshetilovka” (Poltava region), “Protection Police-ZUNU-Dynamo” (Ternopol” and “Barkom-Team of Ukraine U-18” (Lviv). They all scored 9 points. The main task now for them at the first stage is to take 7th place and avoid meeting in the playoffs with clubs from Gorodok or Dnipro.
Recall that according to the results of the first stage (a total of 9 rounds will be played), the playoff matches will begin. In the quarter-finals, the team that took first place in the regular season will play with the team that took 8th place, 2nd place – with 7th place, 3rd place – with 6th place and 4th place with 5th place. Games will be held up to 2 victories of one of the participants.
