According to “Kommersant”company 1C in 2022 transferred its core assets from Cyprus to the jurisdiction of Russia.
1C purchased from DM Investments Multi Ventures Inc. Ltd 100% stake in LLC Soft Club Company and OOO «1S-Softclub». And the restructuring itself took place at the end of November 2022. It is assumed that such a move will help the company to actively engage in the development and distribution of games in the country, acting as one of the competitors. VK.
The company is going to continue developing its new products in accordance with previous plans – they include an expansion for “IL-2 Sturmovik” and online shooter support “Caliber”. In addition, 1C will also deal with new games, now they are recruiting employees to create them.
Previously, asset management through Cyprus became more complicated due to sanctions, but the current restructuring should just simplify this process.
At the same time, some suggested that in the future 1C wants to engage in digital distribution of games through its own platform and, in general, increase its share of presence in the Russian market.
