As part of a current special, Sony Interactive Entertainment made the annual charts of the PlayStation Store available at the end of the video game year 2022. Not surprisingly, “FIFA 23” secured the title of the best-selling game in Europe.
Two and a half weeks ago the all in all only partially eventful video game year 2022 came to an end. In keeping with this, Sony Interactive Entertainment presented the yearly charts of the PlayStation Store today.
As can be seen from the charts, “FIFA 23” secured the title of the best-selling game in the European PlayStation Store last year on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Rounding out the top 3 on the PlayStation 5 were Infinity Ward’s first-person shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and the action title God of War: Ragnarok.
On the PlayStation 4, on the other hand, the open-world long-running favorites “GTA 5” and “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2” lined up behind EA’s football simulation.
In the area of PlayStation VR games, on the other hand, Beat Saber, which was very popular on both consoles and PC, secured the top spot – ahead of “Job Simulator”, “Superhot VR” and “Creed: Rise to Glory”. The charts of the Free2Play games, which are led by the entertaining and somewhat different battle royal spectacle “Fall Guys”, reveal no great surprises.
