Motivating you to buy a Samsung Galaxy S or Galaxy Z smartphone is not enough for the South Korean manufacturer, who also wants you to equip yourself with Galaxy Buds2 Pro headphones, or even with a Galaxy Watch5 watch. To do this, it offers additional features.
A few weeks before the formalization of its Galaxy S24 range, Samsung reminds technophiles that some of its other devices have features combined with its smartphones. Because the manufacturer does not only offer mobile terminals: it also provides its customers with wireless headphones and connected watches.
Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro headphones at the service of video
Through an update, Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro wireless headphones have acquired 360 Audio Recording functionality. This is the first feature in the Galaxy line of products to benefit from the new Bluetooth LE Audio audio standard.
This feature allows to capture sound at 360° thanks to the microphone located in each earpiece. Therefore, if you are filming through a Samsung Galaxy Z smartphone, you can record realistic sound thanks to the Galaxy Buds2 Pro. “The listener is thus transported to the heart of a crowd attending a concert, or in the middle of the forest with the sound of nature. Users can then broadcast their video on their favorite social networks or to their friends, with realistic and immersive sound,” explains the brand. A binaural recording system that can therefore be a game-changer for content creators.
Take photos using a Samsung Galaxy Watch
On their side, the Samsung Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch5 connected watches will very soon receive an update intended to optimize the Camera Controller application. The latter already makes it possible to trigger the taking of a photo remotely from a Samsung Galaxy smartphone. You can, for example, put your terminal on a piece of furniture, move away to have the framing of your choice, and take the photo by pressing the watch.
With the new update, watches in these two ranges will benefit from new focus features. “Users can now remotely control their phone’s camera zoom by simply tapping the screen of their watch or rotating its rotating bezel,” says Samsung. To take group photos, but also well-framed solo shots, it is an interesting proposition.
When will these Samsung updates be rolling out to devices?
The 360 Audio Recording feature for Galaxy Buds2 Pro and Galaxy Z Flip4 and Z Fold4 is currently being deployed. For its part, the update of the Camera Controller functionality will be available on the Galaxy Watch5, Watch5 Pro, Watch4 and Watch4 Classic starting next month.
