In the 1/8 final match Italian Cup Napoli were defeated by Cremonese on penalties.
In the 18th minute, midfielder Charles Pikel brought the guests ahead. The Neapolitans scored two goals in 3 minutes in response. Felix Athena-Gyan equalized in the 87th minute, giving Cremonese a chance.
In the penalty shootout, Cremonese players were more fortunate (2:2 pen. 5:4). The leader of Serie A was eliminated from the Cup by an outsider!
