It became known that the company 1C transferred its core assets from Cyprus to the jurisdiction of Russia. Moscow Digital School Expert Vladislav Chukanov in the comment “Gambling” cited the simplification of the management of subsidiaries as the reason for this restructuring.
According to Chukanov, the presence of an intermediate link in Cyprus in the current conditions creates difficulties both in Cyprus itself and in Russia. The expert notes that Cyprus is a member of the EU, so companies with Russian origin face difficulties in obtaining legal and accounting services there.
“I believe that the restructuring will not cause any additional difficulties for distribution. All contracts were concluded anyway, most likely directly to operating companies located in Russia. Cypriot companies simply performed the function of holding companies. In addition, foreign copyright holders, even in the presence of the Cypriot “layer”, still understood who they were doing business with, so nothing has changed for them in this part.”

Earlier it was reported that the company is going to continue developing its new products in accordance with previous plans – they include an extension for “IL-2 Sturmovik” and online shooter support “Caliber”. In addition, 1C will also deal with new games, now they are recruiting employees to create them.
