1/17/2023 @ 2:41pm by Jonathan Harsch – Fans of The Last of Us are taking to social media to have fun cutting scenes from the TV series alongside cutscenes from the game. The results show some uncanny similarities.
Ahead of the start of the HBO series The Last of Us, the first episode of which has been available to watch online since Monday, Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann repeatedly revealed how different it will be from the video game template. Nevertheless, individual screenshots and scenes show striking similarities. Of course, fans of the franchise noticed the parallels directly in the first episode and published various comparisons on Twitter and YouTube. Thanks to the photo mode, it is relatively easy to take appropriate pictures in the game.

This is how The Last of Us compares to the game
Some fans complained during filming that the actors didn’t look enough like their digital role models. However, as the series now seems to prove, looks are only one aspect and can be offset by a professional acting performance. Pedro Pascal in particular comes extremely close to the digital Joel thanks to his charisma. In addition, some scenes seem to have been taken directly from the game. The story probably only really develops as the series progresses.
