Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition will be released on Xbox One and Xbox Series X at the end of January | S. Microsoft has confirmed that the game will support Xbox Play Anywhere at launch. As such, all players who own a copy of Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition for PC on the Microsoft Store will also receive the console version for free.
Recall that Xbox Play Anywhere allows players not only to buy a game for two platforms – Xbox and PC – once, but also provides a number of other benefits. In particular, games from Xbox Play Anywhere have shared saves, which allows you to start playing, for example, on Xbox, and continue on PC, or vice versa.
Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition releases January 31 on Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S, immediately after the release, the project will be in Game Pass.
