Ubisoft Mainz announces the Anno 1800 Console Edition. The developers confirmed the release date in a live stream: The construction game will be released on March 16 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The version includes the base game as well as all previously released updates and “numerous improvements”. For the Anno 1800 Console Edition, the developers have redesigned the user interface, among other things, in order to adapt it for control with a controller. A radial menu for the construction menu is new.

“There are numerous other changes, such as an enlarged region map to jump between islands quickly, the option to automatically build roads around building blocks, and the Annopedia with lots of useful information on game mechanics and features, to name just a few.” Developer for Anno 1800 (buy now €39.95 / €53.99) for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. As on the PC, up to 16 players can team up in multiplayer mode in the console version.

Two editions – pre-orders started
Anno 1800 for consoles can be pre-ordered in two editions. The standard edition, which is available for 40 euros, contains the basic game. In addition to the base game, the Deluxe Edition includes the three cosmetic DLCs “Funfair”, “Pedestrian Zone” and “Animated Cities”. The price is 50 euros. After the release of Anno 1800, the DLCs mentioned and all other cosmetic expansions that have previously been released for PC will also be available for purchase individually on consoles. This also applies to the Dragon Garden Pack, which will be released on January 19th for PC.

If you buy Anno 1800 for PS5 or Xbox Series X/S by April 16th, you will receive a bonus pack that includes the Empire and Founder Packs with additional skins, logos and ornaments as well as the digital artbook and a selected soundtrack.
