January 18th, 2023 at 6:41 p.m. by Andreas Link – Anno 1800 is coming to the console: We have information about the release, price and gameplay; but also a shock.
Anno 1800 is coming to the consoles, namely Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X. The developers at Ubisoft Blue Byte had already announced this. But can such a port work well? The developers now have the first details: First and foremost is the release date: Anno 1800 for consoles will be released on March 16, 2023 for the Playstation 5, the Xbox Series X and also the S. On the plus side for console players is that they can play on a encounter fairly mature game in gameplay. It remains to be seen how the port will perform.
Standard and Deluxe Edition on consoles
Due to the long waiting time, console players also have the advantage that the standard edition is available for 40 euros. That’s manageable given the usual prices for console games. Then there is the Deluxe Edition with three cosmetic DLCs which are namely the “Funfair” pack, the “Pedestrian Area” pack and the “Relive Cities” pack, which bring ornaments and skins designed to make the city more beautiful . The remaining cosmetic DLCs will be available for individual purchase after release.
Anyone who buys Anno 1800 (buy now €39.95) within the first 30 days of release will also receive the Empire and Founder’s Packs with various additional skins, logos and ornaments, as well as the digital art book and a selected soundtrack.

The developers promise a revised user interface, which should accommodate use from the couch, and – of course – a control adapted to the gamepad. Tried and tested elements on console such as radial menus are used and the user interface has been adjusted to make it more convenient for console players to jump between regions.
Where are the Season Passes and their contents?
The experienced Anno 1800 player will of course wonder where the season passes are. So far, it hasn’t been available on consoles and apparently Ubisoft hasn’t been able to bring itself to put together a complete package like on the PC (for 130 euros). That might disappoint some. So you have the relatively low price of the base game, but you have to reckon with additional costs. In view of the quarrels at Ubisoft, you will probably see that you can get as much return as possible from Anno 1800 on the console.
