The capabilities of Artificial Intelligencel are undeniable. Proof of this is the popularity of free services such as ChatGPT that highlights these same advances in AI, something closely followed by Microsoft, Google and other tech giants.

However, the Microsoft now takes an important step by expanding access to advanced artificial intelligence models with the service Azure Open AI. It is a new stage for what is one of Microsoft’s noble platforms, with the promise of great improvements.

Massive language models are becoming an essential tool for people and companies to innovate, apply Artificial Intelligence (AI) and shape the future. This is Microsoft’s vision, now applied to another of its services.

Indeed, as part of its ongoing commitment to democratizing AI and its partnership with OpenAI, Microsoft today announces the general availability of the Azure OpenAI service.

Through this service, now publicly available, more organizations can access the world’s most advanced AI models. Here including GPT-3.5, Codex and DALL•E 2 – through the enterprise-secure capabilities and AI-optimized infrastructure of Microsoft Azure.

The public will also soon be able to access ChatGPT — an adapted version of GPT-3.5 that has been developed and trained on the Azure AI infrastructure. All this through the Azure OpenAI service.

Launched in November 2021, the Azure OpenAI service enables organizations to harness the power of generative AI models at scale.

Always with the safeguards customers have come to expect from Azure cloud and compute infrastructure. That is, guided by security, reliability, compliance, data privacy and built-in responsible AI capabilities.

In this way, Microsoft believes, organizations of all industries and sizes use the Azure OpenAI service to improve end-user experiences and simplify their operational efficiency.

From creating content that supports compatibility between products and customers, to summarizing customer support tickets, personalization and gaining insights from data through search. Incidentally, this service has allowed employees to save time to focus on more critical tasks.

Azure’s OpenAI service provides enterprises and developers of high-performance AI models at scale with the highest uptime on the market.

This is the same production service that Microsoft uses to power its own products. Here including GitHub Copilot, an AI co-developer that assists in writing code.

We also have the Power BIwhich leverages natural language with GPT-3 technology to automatically generate formulas and expressions DAX. Not forgetting the recently announced Microsoft Designer, which helps creators generate quality graphic content using natural language.

Azure is also the main computing power behind the OpenAI API family of models for advancements in programmer research and production.

In fact, at the moment, Azure is the only global public cloud that provides AI supercomputers with combined vertical and horizontal scalability capabilities.

Finally, Microsoft recognizes that any AI innovation must be done responsibly.

Technology has taken an iterative approach to large models. In practice, working closely with OpenAI and its customers to carefully evaluate use cases, learn, and address potential risks.

Additionally, it implemented its own protection for the Azure OpenAI service, in line with its Responsible AI principles. On a last note, these advances were recently disclosed by the company itself.
