January 18th, 2023 at 8:00 a.m. by Susanne Braun – With the start of the series on the video game hit The Last Of Us, the people at Gansel Rechtsanwälte sat down again and shed light on the legal situation with regard to many exciting topics of the end-time drama! Are zombies actually allowed to be killed like this? Can discarded food be collected? And: According to German law, what are we allowed to do in a zombie apocalypse?
There’s one thing you can’t deny about the people at Gansel Rechtsanwälte: they put a lot of effort into their amusing and sometimes strange rights check videos, in which they examine acts and events in video game, series and film universes to see if what’s shown is would be punishable under German law. That’s how it was with Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings, among others. This is also the case with the latest video by Nico Schmalfuss and Co. from the law firm Gansel Rechtsanwälte.
This time it’s about a hot topic, namely the series The Last Of Us from HBO, which is now available to watch in our countries on Sky Atlantic. The series is based on the Naughty Dog video game The Last Of Us and deals with issues of the apocalypse. Or more precisely: with moral questions of the zombie apocalypse. And such a dystopian scenario offers the people at Gansel Rechtsanwälte a wonderful number of topics that could be checked for legal certainty. They did that too and below you can watch the coolly made video.
