A Stadia exclusive slips into another game on Steam
With the closure of Stadia, games are doomed to disappear. This was the case of Gunsport which finally ended up on Steam. Very good news for players who thought they were saying goodbye to this title which was on the Google platform in 2020 (released a few years earlier on Playstation and Xbox). It can now be found in the Steam page of Hyper Gunsport, from the same publisher: Necrosoft Games. It was on Twitter that the independent games company announced the news, followed by a video that shows how to access this title.
Stadia is shutting down tomorrow. This means all exclusives, like the original Gunsport, will blink out of existence. But!! Since we care about game preservation we’ve made an offline version of Gunsport available in the Steam version of Hyper Gunsport, through the beta channel. pic.twitter.com/AeyR7fDBcs

This cyberpunk volleyball game which had been well received, therefore does not sink into oblivion thanks to the action of Necrosoft Games which wishes to preserve its games. The publisher is directly concerned by the disappearance of Stadia, but preferred to take the lead. Steam players therefore now have two games for the price of one and can compare the two versions.
Recover your game saves on Stadia?
On September 29, Google announced the permanent closure of the on-demand gaming platform. The official end is today: January 18 worldwide, but more precisely January 19 at 8:59 a.m. in France. Even if Google reimburses everything that may have been purchased in connection with this platform, backups are to be seen on a case-by-case basis. CD Projekt for example announced that it would be possible to recover the backup using Google Takeout, and following specific installation instructions. Regarding Ubisoft games, they are automatically transferred to Ubisoft Connect PC which must be connected to Stadia accounts. However, 5 games are not affected by this transfer: Just Dance 2020, Just Dance 2021, Just Dance 2022, Family Feud and Trivial Pursuit.
