Joseph Staten is returning to Xbox Publishing from 343 Industries.
As we previously reported, Microsoft is cutting 10,000 jobs and Xbox Game Studios has also been hit. 343 Industries in particular is said to be affected by a large number of layoffs. In an email to staff, studio head Pierre Hintze wrote that “we have made the difficult decision to restructure parts of our team, which means some roles will be axed”.
Joseph Staten will remain with Microsoft. After Joseph Staten moved from Xbox Publishing to 343 Industries in 2020 to get Halo Infinite on track as Head of Creative Director, reported Jason Schreier from Bloomberg that Joseph has switched back to Xbox Publishing. The publishing division works with indie studios to develop new Xbox franchises.
