Hogwarts Legacy it will allow us to experience a magical adventure in the world of Harry Potter and, waiting to be able to explore it, here are five things to know about the game, including graphic modes, Italian dubbing and longevity.
Platforms and release dates
First, Hogwarts Legacy will be released on many platforms but at different times. The February 10th will see the light on PS5, Xbox Series X, Series S and PC, while it will make its debut on April 4th on PS4 and Xbox One. Finally, from July 25 it will also be available on Nintendo Switch. Also know that those who pre-order the Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe Edition or the Digital Deluxe Edition for PS5, Xbox Series X, Series S and PC will be able to start playing from February 7, 2023 instead of February 10, 72 hours before day one. The Standard Edition and Deluxe Edition for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on the other hand will not have early access.
Dubbing in Italian
Following the release of the Italian gameplay trailer for Hogwarts Legacy, with the narrative voice of Claudio Monetaa certainly important confirmation has arrived for fans of the game: the adventure will not only have subtitles in our language but will be completely dubbed in Italian, although the cast has not yet been disclosed.
Longevity and cut content
To the detriment of the release scheduled for February 16, the official Hogwarts Legacy artbook has been leaked and has revealed important information on the longevity of the game and beyond. Indeed, according to what has been reported, the Action RPG will require 35 hours to complete the main quest and another 35 to be able to fully discover all that the map has to offer, for a total of 70 hours of content, including side missions and Merlin puzzles. The artbook also revealed that Quidditch, the beloved magical sport that has fleshed out the personality of the Harry Potter world, was originally part of the developer’s plans, only to be removed from the game due to unknown reasons. Will it be added to the core experience via DLC in the future? Only time will tell.
Graphics modes
In matters of visual presentation, Hogwarts Legacy boasts several graphics modes on next-gen consoles, to the delight of those who want to better experience the adventure according to their preferences. This journey into the Wizarding World will offer a fix for 30fps visual fidelity, as well as the ever-present 60fps Performance mode. Also confirmed additional choices for those who own a TV or monitor with Variable Refresh Rate support, which will be able to further customize the viewing experience.
Accessibility
Last but not least is the attention of the developers to accessibility, so as to allow a large number of fans to enjoy this new story in the wizarding world. Let’s start with the default colorblind modes and menu commentary in all supported languages. Then there are the changes to the size of the texts, the adjustment of the intensity of the camera shake and the supporto a PlayStation Zoom e Xbox Magnifier.Also worth mentioning are the four difficulty options, the ability to activate reminders and tips, to display sound effects on the screen and adjust motion blur, chromatic aberration, depth of field and film grain. Hogwarts Legacy will offer these and other settings to give you the ability to personalize your experience.
