Season 2 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 starts later than expected. how Infinity Ward on Twitter announces that the new season will go live on February 15. Fans had previously suspected that the season would start on February 1st – the same day the Season 1 Battle Pass should end. “Our teams have created individual changes based on feedback from the community,” the developers write. They also provide a first small preview of the content to be expected.

“Season 2 includes all new content, including the return of Resurgence and a brand new small map for Warzone 2.0,” the makers continue to comment. With Rebirth Island gone, adding a smaller map to the rotation has been high on many players’ wish lists. Tangible details about the new Warzone map are not yet available. In the coming week, however, the developers want to submit a detailed blog post that will go into more detail about the new features. Changes to the Gulag, looting and loadouts are also on the agenda for Warzone 2.0.
