While anime fans are eagerly awaiting the broadcast of the third part, the second season of Demon Slayer should soon land on Netflix. Something to update for those who haven’t already watched the show on Crunchyroll or Wakanim.

Demon Slayer is the Weekly Shonen Jump phenomenon of recent years. While the manga ended in 2020 with twenty-three volumes, it is with the anime adaptation by ufotable (Fate/Zero, Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works…) that Koyoharu’s work Gotōge exploded. Result, Demon Slayer, or Kimetsu no Yaiba in its original version, was the best-selling manga in Japan in 2019 and 2020, reaching a total circulation for the franchise of 150 million copies across the world in February 2021. In addition to that, The Infinity Train, a film which adapts the arc of the manga of the same name, is the feature film which has made the most admissions and which has been the most profitable in the history of Japan, ahead of Spirited Away by Ghibli studios, becoming the most profitable Japanese animated film in the world.
With all this enthusiasm, season 2 was eagerly awaited by fans of the work and the least we can say is that ufotable went all out. We were treated to spectacular fights with more detailed and dynamic animation than ever before. Between October 10, 2021 and February 13, 2022, this second season was broadcast with us on Wakanim, before being also available on Crunchyroll following the purchase of the platform by Sony. Still, the Pleasure Quarter arc is set to arrive on a new SVOD service soon.
Finally season 2 on Netflix in France?
On the American version of the platform, we learn that Demon Slayer season 2 is set to land January 21 on Netflix. By going to the tab dedicated to the show, subscribers to the service living in North America were able to discover this good news which was not directly relayed by the accounts on the company’s social networks. However, the Demon Slayer season 2 release date is not displayed on the French version of Netflix.
Moreover, at the time of this writing, the official Twitter account of Netflix France did not communicate on it, which leads us to advise you to be vigilant and not to take the January 21 date for granted. So we just have to hope for an official confirmation before we get excited. In any case, we remind you that season 3 is expected for the month of April, logically on Crunchyroll.
