According to the press service of the Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries (CRAIL), the first social advertising on the topic of conscious gambling has been launched in Kyiv. Gambling is usually understood as an addiction to gambling, in which the winnings depend entirely (or to a large extent) on chance, and not on the skills of the player.
According to Ivan Rudy, chairman of CRAIL, the advertisement was created to reduce social risks that may arise due to a distorted perception of gambling as a way of earning money.
“For a long time, gambling was banned in Ukraine, but the “shadow business” continued to exist. Therefore, gambling was available, but the understanding of conscious gambling was not. Today, after the legalization of gambling in Ukraine, our social mission is to make gambling a safe form of entertainment for Ukrainians and to prevent possible threats as much as possible,” Ivan Rudy emphasized.
Additionally, he noted that this is the first state social advertising on the topic of conscious gambling. In the future, it is planned to continue work in this direction and extend it to other cities of Ukraine.
