It’s historic! Amazon Prime Video signed an agreement with HBO in mid-January 2023 to acquire the broadcasting rights to past, present and future HBO-stamped series. Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon, Westworld, Chernobyl (by the co-creator of The Last of Us) or even The Wire are thus arriving on the American giant’s streaming platform. As a reminder, the subscription to Prime Video amounts to 6.99 euros per month (or 69.99 euros per year). This sum gives access to the films and series of the main catalog as well as to all the original productions of Amazon of which the series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power and The Boys are the standard bearers.
The agreement between Amazon Prime Video and HBO stipulates that a “Warner Pass” will be in place by March. The latter will give access to all of the firm’s productions as well as to its 12 channels.
