HBO Max reported that the first episode of the series The Last of Us in two days since the premiere, more than 10 million viewers watched. The adaptation of the popular video game turned out to be a big hit for HBO Max, drawing 4.7 million viewers on its first day. Thus, The Last of Us became the third largest premiere in the history of HBO, losing “Dragon House”which was watched by 9.9 million viewers on release, and «Underground Empire”, which was rated by 4.8 million viewers over the same period.
Recall also that the series The Last of Us received high marks from viewers and critics – the latter managed to get acquainted with the full season. By the way, in the pilot you can see the scenes of the director Kantemira Balagova (“Dylda”), who left the project due to creative differences.
