Cancellation of a video game is not new in the gaming industry. Beyond what gamers usually pay attention to and see, there are lots of games out there that game studios have been working on internally for a very long time that never got released for one reason or another. But unfortunately, this is not the situation that is being borne by Ubisoft. After yet another delay of Skull & Bones following weak financial performance, Ubisoft is also confirmed to be canceling 3 other games they are currently working on. One of them is definitely Project Q.
Some of you may have forgotten the game that Ubisoft announced in April 2022. Project Q was once defined by Ubisoft as a colorful PVP Battle Arena game, and certainly not a battle-royale game. But unfortunately, apart from some of the artwork and alpha test videos that had leaked on the internet, Project Q will never show its nose. Ubisoft confirmed that Project Q, which doesn’t even have a final name yet, is one of the games they canceled. The development team is now shifting to more prioritized projects.
Ubisoft officially cancels “Project Q”.
This news is of course disappointing for those who were curious about what Project Q would end up being. What do you think? Is the Battle Arena PVP game still relevant today?
