Sony is releasing a new PS5 bundle that includes two DualSense controllers alongside the console. Media Markt and Saturn are accepting the first pre-orders.
A few days ago there was a rumor that Sony wants to launch a new PS5 bundle with two DualSense controllers. And in fact, the package can now be pre-ordered from Media Markt and Saturn.
Both dealers charge 599.99 euros for the PS5 bundle. This results in a surcharge of 50 euros for the second controller.
To the product entries*:
The product listings indicate that the consoles are scheduled to ship on February 28, 2023. On the official PlayStation website, Sony also says that orders currently placed with participating retailers until the end of February 2023 to be served.
Thus, players hold the PS5 in their hands in time for the launch of PlayStation VR2 or at least a few days later. The virtual reality glasses, which require Sony’s current-gen console to use, will be released on February 22, 2023.
The PS5 can also still be ordered from Amazon. The shipping giant sells bundles that come with a console and a copy of God of War Ragnarök. The prices are 519.99 euros for the Digital Edition and 619.99 euros for the model with disc drive.
Order PS5 from Amazon*:
According to the product description, the Disk model will ship on January 30 or 31, 2023. The Digital Edition is scheduled for delivery on February 27th or 28th, 2023. It remains to be seen how up-to-date and meaningful this information is.
It also remains to be seen whether Sony will launch a new PS5 model this year or next. According to rumors, the console will not receive any additional power, as was the case with the PS4 Pro. However, Sony should make the disc model modular so that a single model of the PS5 can be delivered with or without a drive. Players can pin it or remove it, buy or sell it afterwards as needed.
