As per tradition in the series (here is a special dedicated to the history of the Fire Emblem), the new Fire Emblem Engage offers a wealth of characters, including homages to the most famous chapters of the past. Here is a complete list of forty-nine warriors appearing in the title Nintendo.
Alcryst: An insecure archer and first introduced in Fire Emblem Engage who is used to downplaying their strengths.
Already: is one of the sons of Lumera, as well as a divine dragon. He is also the protagonist of the new exclusive for Nintendo Switch.
Alfred: Armed with a spear and more, this knight is one of the first allies Alear can rely on during the adventure.
Amber: As a defender of the Kingdom of Brodia, Amber relies on her horse skills and high mobility.
Anna: already known to fans of the series as present in several episodes, this young ax army represents an excellent front line.
Boucheron: Players can recruit this frontline tank in the Kingdom of Firene.
Buneta: His combat prowess is matched by his cooking talent, which he demonstrates by cooking exclusively for the Prince of Solm.
Byleth: this is the protagonist of the video game Fire Emblem Three Houses.
Celica: this sorceress is another old acquaintance known since the days of Shadows of Valentia, or the remake of the second chapter of the series.
Celine: She is Alfred’s sister and her versatility makes her a useful asset on multiple occasions.
Chloé: Rides on the back of a winged mount and lunges with his spear.
Citrine: Her ability to use magic allows her to cast lightning bolts and other spells.
Corrin: The protagonist figure of Fire Emblem Fates applies area effects on the playfield in an attempt to control the outcome of each encounter.
Cramme: a young wizard who is part of a group whose mission is to protect the protagonist.
Diamond: He is the crown prince of Brodia and faces enemies head on with a sword.
Eirika: After first appearing in Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, this sword-wielding warrior can now heal the unit she accompanies.
Indeed: A noble archess but determined to improve her skills in battle.
Bet: is the aforementioned Prince of Solm and can hit his opponents from a distance, while moving on his horse.
In front: Along with her twin brother Cramme, this nun is on a mission to protect Alear.
Gris: He is one of the four antagonists of Fire Emblem Engage.
Goldmary: is a unit armed with a spear that uses its increased range to hit distant opponents or secluded in high places.
Hydrangea: As a magical unit riding a winged steed, this unit can be useful in any team.
Ike: This mercenary was first introduced in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance.
Ivy: she is a princess and has a mysterious, almost sinister aura. Especially considering that she rides a wyvern and bombards her enemies with magic.
Jade: is a royal knight in heavy armor, ready to protect allies with his large shield.
Kagetsu: he is a sort of samurai in the service of Ivy capable of launching lightning-fast blows.
Lapis: serves Alcryst to the best of her ability and, despite the uncertainties, always ends up proving to be an excellent fighter.
Leif: is one of the historical personalities of the series and is able to change the weapon in hand.
Louis: armed with spear and shield, he supports the enemy assault with calm and serenity.
Lyn: Straight from Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade, this heroine can be summoned to stop enemies from fighting back.
Lucina: Originally from Fire Emblem Awakening, this unit is at its best when alongside its allies.
light: is the mother of the protagonist and the Divine Dragon who rules the holy land of Lythos.
Marth: He was the protagonist of the very first Fire Emblem. It is now one of the Emblems that players can summon by equipping the respective ring.
Marni: is one of the antagonists of Fire Emblem Engage.
Mauvier: is a knight of few words and one of the antagonists of Fire Emblem Engage.
Get it: he is a character made unique by the fact that he rides a great wolf.
Micaiah: It was first introduced in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn and stands out above all for its healing abilities.
panette: is a servant of Timerra with a penchant for gothic clothes.
Pandrea: he is Panette’s brother and boasts excellent healing abilities.
Rosado: rides a wyvern and attacks wielding an axe.
Roy: This powerful ally is able to increase the Health of units around him.
Seadall: Can predict the future and heal their allies.
Sigurd: another character, another invocation. In this case we are talking about a knight who can increase the speed of allied troops.
Timerra: she is the princess of the Kingdom of Solm and does not fear rivals when holding the spear.
Vander: is a true paladin ready to engage in the defense of Alear.
veyle: she uses magic and her behavior makes her a very mysterious character.
Yunaka: she is a thief capable of opening locked doors and, for this reason, can be very useful.
Zelkov: is another thief much darker than Yunaka.
Zephia: is the main antagonist of the new Fire Emblem Engage.
