Against the backdrop of the chaotic controversy that has hit the Overwatch League, Aaron Keller of Blizzard has unbuttoned what we can expect in this long 2023 from the most talked about multiplatform shooter on the web.
The topic was explored during an interview granted to the microphones of the NME magazine, when the director first revealed that Overwatch 2 will resume some of the features already seen in the first chapter. Unfortunately Keller went cautious with the details, but it’s easy to assume that he could be referring to the 6v6 mode, one of the reference points of the previous shooter.
Keller then added that Overwatch 2 will include several events, as well as many new maps and modes, significantly expanding the content offer available to players. These innovations, apparently, will be closely linked to the entry of the next two supports planned for Overwatch 2, which Keller himself has defined as focal points with regard to the innovation of game mechanics.
However, there is no shortage of problems at Blizzard. The developers have reluctantly admitted that development on Overwatch 2’s story mode is progressing at a much slower pace than expected, to such an extent that the team feared having to completely review the strategy associated with the launch of new content. Thankfully, the release of the story mode of the shooter is still set for the end of this year.
