As Ethan Gach from Kotaku would like to know, the discontinued “Project Q” is said to have been a promising title, which internally provided a lot of positive feedback. He also pointed out that the developers involved have already been assigned to another project.
Last week we received the message that those responsible at Ubisoft decided to postpone the release of “Skull & Bones” for the sixth time.
In addition, the company acknowledged that work on three initially unspecified projects had been halted. As we now know, among the discontinued titles was the multiplayer PvP title Project Q, which was about to be scrutinized in external playtests.
Ubisoft itself officially confirmed the end of “Project Q” this week, but did not give any details about the reasons that led to the failure of the title. Even when asked, the publisher did not want to comment on this.
Project Q apparently provided positive feedback
As reported by Ethan Gach, editor at Kotaku, citing an unnamed source, “Project Q” is said to have been a promising title that received plenty of positive feedback during internal playtests. Therefore, the question remains as to why those responsible at Ubisoft decided to pull the plug here.
Gach also wants to know that the developers who have been working on Project Q for the past few months have already been withdrawn and are now supporting the development of Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Mirage is a spin-off to the Assassin’s Creed series that bids farewell to the series’ recent massive open-world adventures and instead focuses on the stealth elements that the popular distinguished franchises in their early days.

At the same time, the developers of Ubisoft Bordeaux promise that with “Assassin’s Creed Mirage” to the playful roots want to go back in line. The spin-off will be released in the second half of 2023 for PC and consoles.
