We still know very little about theStar Wars FPS under development at the studios of Respawn Entertainmentthe software house that gave birth to titles such as Titanfall, Apex Legends and Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order.
Announced in January last year, the title has not yet been shown by the software house, and the only information shared by the team has confirmed that the first-person shooter is developed in Unreal Engine 5.
A new Respawn job posting appears now suggest that the game will include an online multiplayer sector. The specific post, which is aimed at a Senior Gameplay Software Engineer, clarifies that the announcement is for the studio’s “Star Wars FPS team.” One particular section of the ad, which lists the “Desired Qualifications,” states that the new employee has had experience working on a multiplayer game.
This can’t give us unequivocal confirmation that the Star Wars FPS will include online multiplayer modes, but the announcement at least gives rise to this hypothesis. The title has yet to be actually presented by the software house, so it will be better to wait for the next updates.
Respawn continues to expand the world of Star Wars in the videogame field also with Star Wars Jedi Survivor, sequel to Jedi Fallen Order expected for this year.
