According to the players, the other day Blizzard conducted a random poll dedicated to the scandalous remake Warcraft III: Reforged. And he suggests that the company is going to finalize an updated version of the iconic strategy, finally fulfilling its early promises.
In the survey, developers are interested in whether the respondents played the original Warcraft III and the version of Reforged, whether they are interested in various features of the remake and why they decided to abandon Reforged (in the answer options – the game has changed relative to the original, the necessary functions have disappeared from it, the game looks too old).
In addition, the players were asked to express their opinion on the “soft restart” of Warcraft III: Reforged. For this update, it is proposed to keep the key features of the original in terms of ranked games and custom campaigns, but add innovations in the form of graphics and campaign improvements, menu redesign, and distribution reduction.
As we remember, the final result of the Warcraft III rework did not really correspond to the announcement made on Blizzcon 2018. In almost every aspect, Reforged was inferior to the original, and in general, the project looked outdated. The company apologized and promised to develop and improve the game over time. However, the other day Blizzard announced that support for Warcraft III: Reforged has been discontinued. Thus, the “long time” took about two years. But the stoppage of work is understandable if the company decided to restart the project.
