Crystal Dynamics has announced that support for Marvel’s Avengers will end on September 30, 2023. The latest update will be available for download on March 31, 2023.
Crystal Dynamics has communicatedthat the support of “Marvel’s Avengers” will be discontinued. After two and a half years and the release of Twelve of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, it has been decided not to add any new content or features to the title after update 2.8 on March 31, 2023.
But that wasn’t all: A few months later, digital sales were stopped entirely and all official support ended. The deadline is September 30, 2023. “After September 30, 2023, no new digital purchases of the game will be possible,” according to the developers. However, some disc versions may still be available.
Players who don’t already have a digital copy of the game have until September 30, 2023 to get one. And should it ever be deleted from the console, it can be downloaded again if needed, as Crystal Dynamics assures. At the same time, the company clarifies that both single player and multiplayer modes will remain available.

Players should also be pleased to know that all Marvel’s Avengers content will be made available for free on the game’s digital marketplace, allowing players who have not yet decided to spend money to enjoy the items. However, Spider-Man will remain a PlayStation exclusive.
While players currently still have to use credits to purchase Marketplace items, the Marketplace itself will not be free until March 31, 2023, when the last update goes live. This also applies to any players who purchase their digital copy just before support ends, or who later get their hands on a disc copy.
With the final update, players’ leftover credits will be converted into in-game resources. To do this, Crystal Dynamics created a table, embedded below, showing how much of each resource is awarded for the credits:
