The wide range of smartphones Xiaomi entitled to update MIUI 14 continues to increase as this system update becomes available for more models. Among these now counts the POCO M3 in its global version, with the Android 13 now available for installation.
At stake is the global and European variant (Global and EEA) of the Xiaomi POCO M3 smartphone, after this same MIUI 14 has already arrived on Xiaomi 12 Pro smartphones, as well as on the POCO F4. So, as another round of updates comes to an end, we have other models starting the update cycle.

It should be noted that the POCO M3 smartphone was launched in November 2020 and was not even included in the official list of smartphones to receive this update in early 2023. However, Xiaomi decided to contemplate the users of this quality / price smartphone with the new system update, bringing new life to this mobile device.
It is also important to note that the smartphone has access to MIUI 13, based on Android 12 and, gradually, it will also receive MIUI 14 based on Android 13. We have mainly improvements in energy management, slightly increasing battery life.

At the same time, we can find new shortcuts, better organization of buttons and access menus to device settings and features, now simplified. Finally, we also have several bug fixes and bugs to point out.
It should also be noted that the POCO M3 hit the market with three models, or main versions. So we have the base version – POCO M3, the POCO M3 Pro 5G (with better specs) as well as the POCO M3 Pro.

The start of MIUI 14 distribution for these mobile devices has now taken place, so it may still take a few weeks to reach all units in Portugal. Incidentally, at the moment only users enrolled in the Pilot program have access to the firmware.

Currently, we already have a new model on the market in the form of the Xiaomi POCO M4 Pro 5G, which has a frankly superior quality / price ratio. Well, not only is it considerably newer, but its processor and cameras are better.
It will, however, be a matter of time before this same MIUI 14 finally brings Android 13 with performance optimizations, autonomy and more functions for this good trio of Xiaomi mobile phones.
