The Pioneers: Surviving Desolation is a deep space survival simulation where you build your station, manage your crew, and explore the harsh environment of Io, Jupiter’s innermost moon. Developer Supercube has announced that the game has been released on Steam Early Access for approximately 18 months.
During Early Access, the developers plan to keep updating the game using player feedback and help. And with multiple ending-affecting conditions and multiple strategies, players can look forward to a unique experience every time they step into the game.
Planet Earth. 2084. It’s time to leave your mark on history. Commanding the crew of Io-1, players must overcome the cold, harsh realities of survival in a hostile environment. Low gravity, volcanoes, seismic activity, extreme temperatures and magnetic storms will put constant pressure on your team and their ability to survive. Careful monitoring of lighthouses due to sulphurous winds will be critical to survival in a toxic atmosphere.
Reclaim your space station, get your crew ready, manage your resources and prepare to face the most hostile environment in the solar system.
As players begin their intense adventure in The Pioneers, they will need to select three crew members from fifteen, each with different abilities and specialties. Due to the constant pressure on survival minds, players will have to juggle the strengths and weaknesses of each of their team members in order to adapt.
