If you want to see more gripping fights and adventures in an iconic era, but don’t need (or don’t want) the Japan setting, you should definitely watch Vinland Saga. To put it bluntly, this is “Vikings as Anime”: We accompany the young Icelander Thorfinn, who joins the Viking gang whose leader killed his father. Thorfinn accompanies the pack on campaigns of conquest, which also lead him to England, although his goal is clear: he wants to avenge his father. The story later takes unexpected turns and makes it clear how much a “hero” can lose himself in war and carnage. On Netflix seasons 1 and 2 – the latter just came out.

No, Don `t worry! Of course, we don’t recommend the live-action Netflix series on Cowboy Bebop, which has already been canceled anyway. We are concerned with the glorious, iconic and unmistakable original. Beautifully animated and with a unique vibe, Cowboy Bebop follows the relatively unsuccessful Misfits crew of bounty hunters led by Spike Spiegel.
