01/22/2023 at 14:00 by Susanne Braun – The developers of the MMO shooter Destiny 2 keep a low profile when it comes to showing us just a little more than the standard trailer from the lightfall destination Neomuna. For good reasons, no doubt. Because of this, we don’t know where the first Lightfall Raid is or what enemies populate it – but we do know when it opens.
Raids are one of the biggest challenges a team of six Guardians can face in Destiny 2. Let’s just gloss over the fact that there aren’t that many 6 Warden activities in the MMO shooter… Anyway! As usual, the Bungie developers are not making a big fuss about the new raid that comes into play with Destiny 2: Lightfall, but a big secret. Beyond the Light, the Deepstone Crypt, The Witch-Queen had the Apprentice’s Oath. Then comes Lightfall… well, we don’t know what the raid is called.
We suspect it can be found in Neomuna on Neptune…but we don’t know. We’re making a few guesses below as to what enemies we might encounter in the endgame spectacle… but we don’t know for sure! Argh! But what we do know is the following: The Lightfall raid will be playable on March 10, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. – the Bungista announced this in the TWAB of January 19, 2023. Accordingly, the next Destiny 2 World First Race (buy now €12.00) will start, which usually lasts about one night. It can be assumed that the raid will initially be available in competitive mode.

Cabal or Vex in Raid?
The bosses you encounter as part of the raid experience are rarely directly related to the story; most of the time it deals with a sideshow, but it is no less threatening than the big Big Bad of the expansion itself – what then happens in the context of seasons is another matter. In the Deep Stone Crypt, fallen people stood in our way, as they did in the Beyond Light campaign. In the Apprentice’s Oath, on the other hand, taunting took more of a spotlight, while the Witch-Queen campaign saw us go to war against the Hive.
The only thing that is certain about the new raid, should it actually play on Neptune, is that we will encounter Calus or Vex Cabal in it – both Shadow Legion Cabal and Vex were prominently featured in Lightfall’s gameplay trailers. Now that we had a Vex raid with the remake of the Chamber of Glass during Beyond Light, but the Cabal haven’t had a chance to raid for a long time (most recently in the no longer playable Leviathan in the original Destiny 2), Kabale might be something to oppose more likely than Vex. Or what do you mean?
