A few days ago, Blizzard, in response to questions and impatience from players, assured the Diablo series community that it plans to release major updates for Diablo 2 and 3 in the near future. Unfortunately, no details were available at the time.
And now, as promised, Diablo Community Manager Adam Fletcher has shared some key information – at least in the context of Resurrected. From a tweet, we learn that an update for D2R will appear on the PTS (Public Test Server) as early as next week.
Fletcher added that special attention during testing will be paid to testing new runewords in the game. For the less-initiated, in Diablo 2: Resurrected, these are combinations of runes that, when placed in our equipment, endow it with special properties.
Since we have already received the first details about the content of the 2.6 patch for Diablo 2, we may soon get information about Diablo 3 as well.
