I rumors relating to the existence of an alleged sixth iteration of Gears of War and an Ultimate Collection of the first chapters of the saga had already been in the air for some time now, yet the latest rumors may have anticipated possible news in the coming days or in the following weeks.
From the job announcements relating to a new chapter of Gears of War and from the numerous rumors that have followed one another over time, we know that Microsoft is (most likely) grappling with new projects related to the brand. However, until today there was no information that could confirm the speculations relating to one of the most popular sagas of the Xbox landscape.
And yet, the latest episode of the XboxEra podcast stirred things up a bit: in fact, during the episode in question, videogame insider Shpeshal Nick showed the public an image of the Gears 6 and Gears Ultimate Collection logo. The arrival of these rumors in these hours, which occur almost simultaneously with the next Xbox Developer Direct (to be held on January 25th) makes everything potentially plausible, although it is necessary to wait for official communications.
These rumors have emerged several times in the past but, although it is an image – the one containing the two logos – of low quality and acquired with a smartphone from a PC screen, there is no way to prove if they are true. It is Shpeshal Nick himself who cannot decree its veracity, although it is probable that for a confirmation from the same Microsoft gaming division we will have to wait only a few days now.
