The state of Oklahoma is home to a wide variety of industries, and today we’re excited to share with you previews and information about some of the new and unique warehouses you’ll be able to deliver to in our upcoming Oklahoma DLC for American Truck Simulator.
Airport Tulsa
From Oklahoma to the world, Tulsa Airport serves as an important transportation hub for both visitors and cargo. Home to multiple logistics operations, with daily cargo flights to larger hubs across states, it is a vital part of the cargo network that can deliver cargo around the world quickly and accurately. You can even deliver or pick up some unique cargo at the airport, which operates around the clock.
tire factory
One of Oklahoma’s unique industries is the presence of two of the most prominent tire manufacturers in the world. The history of tire production in the cities of Lawton and Ardmore goes back almost a century. At full capacity, both plants together can produce up to 108,000 tires per day, providing drivers around the world with safe tires for their cars!
Distribution of gas and chemical products
Oklahoma is one of the nation’s top oil and natural gas producing states. With more small towns and businesses dependent on distributing gas and chemicals for a variety of uses, Oklahoma truck drivers will be able to take jobs from larger warehouses to deliver across the state and beyond. Make sure your tanker trailers are clean and ready!
bus factory
Did you know that Oklahoma is also known as the “School Bus Capital of the World”? The city of Tulsa produces up to 11,000 of the iconic yellow American school buses each year. From engine parts to paint jobs, the factory has an assembly line that requires a constant supply of key materials to keep production running and on target.
Municipal warehouses
Public utility and emergency vehicles require careful maintenance and upkeep. Everything from public buses to ambulances has their own depots, garages and warehouses where they are maintained for safe use on the road. Truck drivers will be able to contribute to the delivery of parts and other materials to these warehouses.
Electrical appliance factory
Everything is produced here, from air conditioners to transformers. Since these factories are quite versatile, truckers will be able to haul a variety of electrical appliances for delivery across Oklahoma and beyond!
River port
Based on a real port located along the river in Tulsa, this junction serves as an important staging post for all imports and exports carried on the river to continue their journey with various modes of transport, including a truck! Its public and private terminals handle grain, dry bulk, bulk cargo and bulk liquids. And large volume is not a problem. In fact, customers send and receive over 2.2 million tons of cargo every year by barge, rail and truck.
Furniture store
From tables to bed frames, these stores offer locally made furniture. This depot complements the many woodworking industries found in American Truck Simulator and you can be part of the process in this unique industry.
There are always plenty of options when it comes to hauling cargo in our upcoming Oklahoma DLC. Whether your company specializes in tankers or refrigerated trailers, there is always a job waiting for you here.
