When is The Mandalorian Season 3 release date?
After more than two years of waiting, fans of the Star Wars universe learned last December that they would have to wait a few more months before knowing the rest of the journey of Grogu and the bounty hunter Din Djarin. Season 3 of The Mandalorian series is finally scheduled for March 1 on the Disney+ platform and should add 8 new episodes to a saga that has convinced both Star Wars fans and the general public. It must be said that the charisma of the unusual and endearing duo formed by the Mandalorian Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and “the child” is not for nothing in the success of the series. After two high-flying seasons and particularly memorable moments, we can’t wait to find out what this third season has in store for us.
Like the other spin-offs made around the Star Wars galaxy in serial format, season 3 of The Mandalorian is a Disney+ exclusive and will therefore be viewed directly on the platform streaming with big ears. It will be available in France on the same day as in the United States, i.e. March 1, 2023, and its broadcast rate should be one new episode per week. The meeting should take place every Wednesday for 8 weeks, unless the platform decides to offer two episodes from the launch, as it sometimes does. The interval that separates us from its launch can be used to re-watch the previous seasons of The Mandalorian, but also the episodes of The Book of Boba Fett, the two series being largely interconnected on the narrative level.
What is the story of The Mandalorian Season 3?
The storyline for Season 3 of The Mandalorian does not only hang on after the 16 episodes already available on Disney+. The interconnection that exists between this series and the first season of the Book of Boba Fett imposes a complete knowledge of the two universes. That’s why we can only strongly advise you to watch at least the last two episodes of The Mandalorian, then the last three of The Book of Boba Fett to make sure you have in mind the major revelations surrounding Grogu and Din Djarin. . If the child had to make a choice between the Jedi training offered to him by Luke and his reunion with the Mandalorian, Din Djarin is confronted with a destiny which should bring him back to the planet of origin of his people: Mandalore. Season 3 is therefore at a pivotal moment in the series which should finally give a glimpse of the full potential of the duo of protagonists, when Din Djarin has transgressed the creed of the Mandalorians by removing his helmet.
As we were able to clearly verify in episode 8 of season 2 of The Mandalorian (then in episodes 6 and 7 of The Book of Boba Fett), the series is positioned five years after the fall of the Galactic Empire and the events of the film Star Wars, episode VI: Return of the Jedi. We indeed see Luke Skywalker coming to recover Grogu to train him in the Force and the arts of the Jedi Knights. In The Mandalorian, lone bounty hunter Din Djarin travels the galaxy with the “child” he found, but his journey is not limited to the borders of the series. It is also very close to the events recounted in the first season of the Book of Boba Fett, with characters who intersect over the twists and turns between the two series. We also see Ahsoka Tano there, who will also be entitled to her own series in 2023, the three spin-offs being located in the same time frame.

What is the cast of The Mandalorian Season 3?
Although the Mandalorian creed forbids him to remove his helmet, it is the actor Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones, Narcos) who plays Din Djarin, the protector of Grogu in the series. After having moved everyone in the recent adaptation of The Last of Us where he plays the role of Joel, Pedro Pascal will soon be on the screen again via Season 3 of The Mandalorian. We will also find the actors Katee Sackhoff (Bo-Katan Kryze), Carl Weathers (Greef Karga), Omid Abtahi (Doctor Pershing), Paul Sun-Hyung Lee (Carson Teva) and Emily Swallow in the role of the armorer.
