Basically, it is about replacing outdated, inefficient household appliances with new appliances with the highest energy efficiency class available on the market. This includes refrigerators, fridge-freezers, freezers or chest freezers as well as washing machines and dishwashers that are operated in the Stuttgart district area.
Old devices must be of a certain minimum age and new devices must come from the highest energy efficiency classes.
Unfortunately, non-Stuttgart residents don’t benefit from the support program, but it could serve as a model for other regions or a nationwide model.
