If you have a Xiaomi smartphone, know that you can configure several important aspects very easily. I’m not just talking about the features but also about various aesthetic elements. That said, we are going to explain how you can configure the home screen of your Xiaomi smartphone and all the options that are at your disposal.
Xiaomi smartphone: how to configure the home screen
To be able to access the list of options we have to start by accessing the settings and there we look for something that says Initial Screen.
In this new window we have several options available. Everything for this screen is to our liking and with the greatest possible ease of configuration.
Right from the start we can choose the predefined launcher. Unless you’re thinking of switching to a third-party launcher, you won’t have to do anything with this option. However the others are more important.
Right from the start we can choose between using the home screen with application drawer or the classic one. The difference is simple.
So if we opt for the classic, everything will be available on the main screen and to consult other apps that we’ve installed and downloaded, we just have to slide our finger to the right.
If we opt for the application drawer mode, then only what we want remains on the home screen. This is because we have that application drawer where everything is. Then we just decide what stays on the home screen. In fact, most of the time there is no need to put everything on the main screen.
Another of the things that we can activate or not is Google Discover. In practice, they are those news that we see when we drag our finger from left to right. You should not deactivate this option from the outset. This is because it helps us to be well informed.
What we can also define on this screen is the speed of the animations. In most cases we don’t have to change this option.
On the other hand, what is really important is the system’s navigation option. This is because we can choose whether we want to keep the buttons on the Interface or if we want to change it to gesture navigation only.
But there are more things we can do on the home screen.
This way we can fill cells with uninstalled applications, lock the layout of the home screen, choose the icon size and which organization we want. That is, 4×6 or 5×6.
In addition to the home screen, we can also define the recent ones. That is, that menu where we can see what is active. It is even possible to check the memory status.
As you can see, it’s quite simple to configure the most important elements of the Start menu.
