The model is a gaming monitor with 1440p and 360 Hz, which is tailored to e-athletes with a dual mode and is said to have “ultra-fast” IPS technology.
Asus is delving deeper into the world of e-sports and wants to give gamers exactly the right gaming monitor with the ROG Swift PG27AQN. The hardware manufacturer from Taiwan presented this almost exactly a year ago and is now celebrating its market launch. But what makes the monitor special? First of all, it can be stated that the screen diagonal of the ROG Swift PG27AQN is 27 inches and the LCD display has a WQHD resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels, whereby images are supposed to be displayed at 360 Hz. Otherwise, the gaming monitor weighs 8.4 kilograms including the stand and measures 614 x 367 x 90 mm (L x H x W) without the stand.
Equipment, functions and price
It seems to be particularly important for Asus to emphasize the manufacturer’s “ultra-fast” IPS technology. This should offer the fastest response time of all LCD displays, the data sheet mentions 1 ms (GtG). The ROG Swift PG27AQN also includes a G-Sync processor from Nvidia and the chip manufacturer’s Reflex Analyzer. Together, these technologies ensure a smooth display without tearing and a system latency of only 10 ms in an RTX 40 system, as Asus promises. The Reflex Analyzer also captures end-to-end system latency to ensure accurate measurement of system performance.
The dual mode provided by Asus’ gaming monitor may be of interest to e-sports enthusiasts. This should enable gamers to play on a familiar 25-inch screen with a resolution of 1080p or 2,368 x 1,332 pixels. In terms of colors and brightness, the ROG Swift PG27AQN covers 98 percent of the DCI-P3 color space and 135 percent of the sRGB color space, while the contrast ratio is said to be 1000:1. Thanks to a value of 600 cd/m² at the peak brightness, the gaming monitor calls the DisplayHDR 600 certification its own.

The Asus ROG Swift PG27AQN gaming monitor can now be ordered for around 1,600 euros. This is available from the online retailers Computeruniverse, Alternate or Cyberport, among others.
