While in Italy the Lega Pro and WeArena project pushes on the eSerie C with new guidelines for virtual football organizations and teams, at an international level the ESL R1 sim racing competition revealcreated by ESL FACEIT Group together with RENNSPORT.
Il racing game based on Unreal Engine 5 has yet to see its launch, yet it is already destined to become a reference point for simulator lovers thanks also to the push of ESL FACEIT Group (EFG), the holding company behind ESL Gaming. The new ESL R1 class will see 12 teams compete for a prize fund of 500,000 euros, to be won after a total of seven games in the Regular Season. The entire season will be divided into two phases, spring and autumn, in which the 24 riders will compete to qualify for the ESL R1 Major.
The competitions will officially start on February 10 with the IEM Expo and will see the following teams participate in it:
