Saber Interactive announcedthat tomorrow, January 24, will release a major update Horde Mode XL to the cooperative zombie shooter World War Z: Aftermath. It will be available for free on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC. And you can see what awaits us in the release trailer.
Horde Mode XL brings a new twist to Horde Mode: in addition to the regular waves of enemies, there’s a special wave XL with over a thousand hungry zombies. Our team will have to do everything to survive this terrifying ordeal.
In the new mode, the teams will find themselves on a new map and will protect the camp of civilians located in the shopping center. Around it are three playing zones, each of which acts as a separate front line.
To survive the onslaught of zombies, players need to launch a reinforced defense by collecting the right supplies. If successful, unique events are launched, during which zombies are mowed down in batches. There will be rockets in the Restaurant area, jet fighters in Riverside, and explosive gas in the Construction Site.
In addition, players are waiting for a redesigned and improved weapon development system. It allows you to apply any skin to a weapon and insert a unique set of three perks: one unique skill and two common ones. Although experience points and resources are still needed to level up, it raises stats and unlocks various bonuses.
The Horde Mode XL update will not affect the progress of the players, the weapons will correspond to the previous level. Also, players will have access to all previously unlocked skins and a number of new free skins.
