An already popular design
As mentioned above, the LG OLED65CS TV borrows the design of the models in the C1 range. And if the latter is no longer very young, its physical characteristics are still as appreciable, with its clean lines, its thin screen borders and its long, very solid metal foot. However, we will not be entitled to the new manufacturing design of the C2s, which benefit from a new composite fiber frame, which reduces the weight of the entire television.
On the other hand, concerning its screen, the LG OLED65CS does indeed embed the panel of the C2 TVs, much brighter than those of the C1. Otherwise, we will of course benefit from the infinite contrasts, deep blacks and rich colors.
The good performance of the C2 series
In the bowels of the LG OLED65CS, we will find the Alpha 9 Gen 5 processor which powered the TVs of the C2 range. This processor provides more efficient 4K upscaling for displayed content and a much higher level of detail than the previous generation. On the compatibility side, HDR, HDR10 as well as Dolby Vision IQ, which is an evolution of classic Dolby Vision and which will take care of adapting the image according to your environment for a better perception of small details, will be there. On the sound side, we will benefit from a Dolby Atmos emulation for a very vast and immersive sound which is diffused throughout the room.
Gaming is not forgotten
The LG OLED65CS TV is also quite suitable for gaming, since it incorporates 4 HDMI 2.1 ports, which allow [email protected] frames per second. ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode, which considerably reduces latency by automatically switching to a mode provided for this purpose) and VRR (Variable Refresh Rate, which combats screen tearing) will also be included, not to mention compatibility with Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync. Add to that a slab refreshed at 100 Hz for more fluidity, and a response time of 1 ms for more responsiveness.
Finally, this television runs with the new webOS 22 interface, which brings some new features, such as the management of several profiles, as well as the new game bar. But we will have to do without the Always Ready functionality, a permanent standby mode which gives access to the voice assistant. Voice assistants will still be there, as well as AirPlay 2 to stream content from a smartphone or tablet.
