Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 2 is celebrating its 25th anniversary.
25 years (and two days) ago Resident Evil 2 was released, as Capcom officially announced. The enthusiasm for the series is unbroken and it was only in July 2022 that we reported that the remake of part 2 had sold ten million units.
Capcom appreciates the support of the fans and makes a short statement on the 25th anniversary:
“25 years ago today, Resident Evil 2 took survival horror to a whole new level!”
“Thank you to all of our fans who have enjoyed RE2 over the years, from newcomers to seasoned survival horror veterans!”
