Serious accusations against one of the main actors
On January 6, Netflix confirmed that Wednesday will be entitled to a second season, given the cardboard of the series. In the aftermath, many voices have been raised on social networks to accuse Percy Hynes White, the actor who plays Xavier Thorpe in the show, of abuse, sexual assault and rape of minors. It all started with a series of tweets from user @milkievich on Twitter. She explains that the comedian was part of a group of young men in Toronto who used to “throw parties to invite women they liked and get them drunk and stoned to enjoy sex with them.” As she testifies to having been the victim of this kind of evening, it has freed the floor for other young women to make similar accusations. Many testimonies have thus flowed on the hashtag #CancelPercy, some people even declaring to be minors at the time of the facts.

At this time, Percy Hynes White has not reacted to these accusations, but the latter has closed his personal Twitter account, while comments have been limited or disabled on his Instagram account depending on his posts. For the moment, no complaint has been filed against him for sexual assault or rape. If so, an investigation could be opened to determine whether the latter is innocent or guilty of the charges against him. But With the hashtag #CancelPercy, fans of the Netflix series are calling for the actor’s dismissal following these testimonies. A petition has even been launched and has collected 5000 signatures so far.
