2K and developer Visual Concepts have announced that the champ is here: WWE 2K23 will be released this March, with John Cena as the latest cover star. The latest entry in the wrestling series will celebrate Cena’s 20-year career as a WWE Superstar, Hollywood actor and 16-time world champion. Cena will also serve as Executive Soundtrack Producer for WWE 2K23, leading a unique new take on the well-known 2K Showcase mode with the introduction of 3v3 and 4v4 WarGames. Several of the game’s main modes will also be expanded, while the roster promises superstars and legends such as Roman Reigns, ‘American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes, Ronda Rousey, Brock Lesnar, ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin and more. A new optional pinning mechanic will also be included, as well as an expanded list of GMs and more match types for MyGM, MyFaction online multiplayer, the return of MyRise, and the WWE Universe sandbox mode. The Creation Suite will also be expanded, with custom arenas that will be playable online, as well as cross-platform community creations.
WWE 2K23 will on March 17, 2023 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC, with the Deluxe and Icon Editions offering three-day early access starting March 14th.
