It will be at the end of February that the Chinese brand will launch its new Xiaomi 13 series globally.
But it seems that Xiaomi is already preparing another release. A mysterious new smartphone from the brand was discovered in a database that could be the long-awaited 13 Ultra model.
Xiaomi 13 Ultra could hit the market in April
The Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro models will be launched globally at the end of February [email protected]
During this year’s edition of the Mobile World Congress, which starts on February 27 in Barcelona, Xiaomi will launch the Xiaomi 13 series of high-end smartphones worldwide.
It is almost certain that the Chinese brand will only launch the base model and the Xiaomi 13 Pro, although some rumors have advanced that a third model in this family could be launched.
But, by all indications, this third element of the series will not take long to arrive. The Xiaomiui website has discovered a mysterious new smartphone in the IMEI database. From the data exposed there, it is believed that this model will be the Xiaomi 13 Ultra that will be launched in April.
In this database, the smartphone comes up with model numbers for both the Chinese market and the global market. Thus, it is expected to reach all corners of the world, but we still cannot know if the Chinese brand will soon make the model available worldwide or if this will be a Chinese exclusive for some time.
There is little information extracted from the IMEI database about this new model 13. The information present on that platform only states that the smartphone will be powered by the latest generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and that it will run the MIUI 14 interface, based on Android 13 operating system.
Other specs expected on Xiaomi 13 Ultra
But this is not the first time that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra has been talked about in the web world. Previously, the TechGoing website had already advanced that this model would be launched in April. Another information advanced by this publication is that the 13 Ultra would have 16 GB of RAM, as well as 256 GB of internal storage capacity.
However, other sources advance more specifications such as, for example, a Super AMOLED screen, manufactured by Samsung, and with curved edges.
More rumors suggest that, like its predecessor, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will also be aimed at photography. For that reason, it will arrive equipped with the Sony IMX 989, as the main sensor, which has 50 megapixels of resolution and an inch in size.
It has also been suggested that this model will be equipped with an optimized periscope sensor. But, unfortunately, no details were advanced about the improvements that this sensor will bring with it.
In the coming weeks, more information will surely be revealed about the new member of the Xiaomi 13 family.
